Questions
If yours is not here, ask us — the answer will end up on this page.
- Is this a real pooja, or a video of one?
- Real, and live. You perform it — you are the yajamana — at your own altar, while a purohit guides each step over video. Nothing is pre-recorded and nobody performs it on your behalf somewhere else.
- What time will it actually be for me?
- Every time you see is already converted to your timezone, taken from your browser. Your purohit sees the same moment in IST. Your confirmation email shows your local time.
- Which languages can the purohit use?
- Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Marathi and Sanskrit today. Language and sampradaya are part of the booking, not a preference we try to honour afterwards — only a purohit who matches both can accept your seva.
- What do I need to have at home?
- A clean space for the altar, a device you can prop up, and the samagri list we send when you book. It names substitutes for anything hard to find outside India. You never have to buy anything from us.
- Can I cancel?
- Full refund until 48 hours before your slot. Inside that window we will reschedule you to another time. See refunds for the detail.
- Do I get a recording?
- Yes. It appears on your seva page after the pooja and it is yours to keep. Nobody outside your booking is given a link. We keep it for 90 days unless you ask us to delete it sooner — see privacy.
- What is dakshina, and is it required?
- It is the offering to your purohit after the seva, and it is entirely optional — offered to your satisfaction, at whatever amount feels right. It is not a tip and it is not expected. 100% goes to your purohit.
- What if the video fails during the pooja?
- Your purohit has your phone number and will call. A seva interrupted by our technology is our problem to fix, not yours — we will either finish it or reschedule at no cost.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Booking never requires one. An account only exists so you can see your family's sevas in one place across visits, and it is created from your email at payment.
